This was my qt project for COVID. It was a total move of my frag tank to tie it into my display tank. The display is a 90g and now there is one sump for both tanks. It took a full day

I will be adding a wyze camera to the sump area to make sure it’s not overflowing with skim. I have two cameras looking at the both tanks to make sure flow is working and things are good. I love showing people my tank at work!

This was a huge project and no trips to Home Depot were needed. Usually I need to make one for something small but it’s much more stable and better now!

This tank is connect to my display tank in my bedroom. I got the green light from my gf to connect them and have been planning ang getting things since February. I finally got everything and had my buddy that also reefs take on the challenge of getting it all connected. It’s been one month so far and things are doing amazing.

Today, I moved some of the corals I had in the frag tank to my main tank. Placed them in the right spot(fingers crossed). The other day I also added a camera to each my sump which has the skimmer, and calcium reactor dripping to it. Here’s a pic of the sump as it sits right now.

When you meet a local reefer and they want to trade corals. He just said next time I see you and come over, share corals. I said “ I don’t see why not”. Keeping the hobby going and trading corals and making friends

Made some frags tonight. Had some fellow reefers come over and help out with this. Collecting corals and making more is fun. Going to do a local sale soon with all these after they heal. These are nothing special but will hopefully help out with paying for a small upgrade or more frag plugs at least!

Just a few shots from this weekend. Things are looking good and going to start using carbon and gfo on the tank to help with exporting phosphates. I have a few brown tips on acros and want to change this. Got a few new acros this weekend in a nice trade.

ha,i missed one post ;) yes i think you can mount 2 blue xho 48" stunner strips to your current light ,but cost wise,2 stunners approx 400$? plus replacing t5's once a year, you would be much better off with 2 viperspectra 165 watt black boxes, cost approx 260$ ,plus you are already hanging from above;)will not be dissapointed colors will pop ,no changing bulbs ,lower heat, electric bill, instead of messing around w current light and adding strips to it
