I will be adding a wyze camera to the sump area to make sure it’s not overflowing with skim. I have two cameras looking at the both tanks to make sure flow is working and things are good. I love showing people my tank at work!
I’m digging the frag tank. I just ordered a bunch of clear tubs for a mushroom growing op... my next endeavor will be a frag tank.. hoping I can find something similar to yours. Can’t wait to see the finished build
Just finished the build on the display. Los some rocks but the display is what I wake to every day. Frags have been started just waiting to heal an$ grow a little. working on frags of acros in both tanks to make sure things are stable and good
This tank is connect to my display tank in my bedroom. I got the green light from my gf to connect them and have been planning ang getting things since February. I finally got everything and had my buddy that also reefs take on the challenge of getting it all connected. It’s been one month so far and things are doing amazing.
Did some tank maintenance this weekend with my son. We moved some coral around placed the acros I’ve had for a while. We also cover up some aptasia in the tank so it won’t spread. All the polys are out and happy.
Today, I moved some of the corals I had in the frag tank to my main tank. Placed them in the right spot(fingers crossed). The other day I also added a camera to each my sump which has the skimmer, and calcium reactor dripping to it. Here’s a pic of the sump as it sits right now.
When you meet a local reefer and they want to trade corals. He just said next time I see you and come over, share corals. I said “ I don’t see why not”. Keeping the hobby going and trading corals and making friends
Made some frags tonight. Had some fellow reefers come over and help out with this. Collecting corals and making more is fun. Going to do a local sale soon with all these after they heal. These are nothing special but will hopefully help out with paying for a small upgrade or more frag plugs at least!
Just a few shots from this weekend. Things are looking good and going to start using carbon and gfo on the tank to help with exporting phosphates. I have a few brown tips on acros and want to change this. Got a few new acros this weekend in a nice trade.
ha,i missed one post yes i think you can mount 2 blue xho 48" stunner strips to your current light ,but cost wise,2 stunners approx 400$? plus replacing t5's once a year, you would be much better off with 2 viperspectra 165 watt black boxes, cost approx 260$ ,plus you are already hanging from abovewill not be dissapointed colors will pop ,no changing bulbs ,lower heat, electric bill, instead of messing around w current light and adding strips to it
