The second mouth section was removed from the main scoly. The main scoly was then cut in half again. October 12th, the cuts were made. November 11th, fast results, they’re all eating, growth appears semi transparent. I’m watching the growth reclaim the skeleton, very cool. The second mouth portion is almost round already.

Lol one turn off your blues or buy and orange filter
2 yes doesn’t look bAd for a month
Going into moonlights, and I did have an orange filter. I’m not an expert but I don’t think this is bad progression either. Nothing died and I wouldn’t mind 4 of these.

Better photos this morning, lights coming on, flow reduced. The first photo is the second mouth. Second and third are of the scoly cut in half. Last is the sister scoly to this one.

The orange filter photos were blurry, phone didn’t take the photos up close very well.

I'm thinking the small cut out of the mother colony isolating the second mouth is the reason behind the accelerated growth in that frag. Pretty amazing you accomplished this with a scalpel and didn't crush the skeleton. They all look great but I'm pretty sure your second mouth frag is the absolute fastest I've ever seen or heard of a scoly frag rounding out. With that alone you should be proud of your accomplishment let alone avoiding a total hack job using a scalpel. Bravo!

Any info on this? Looking to try it as well!
All pieces are doing good. I used a sealed scalpel from a hydroponics store. Feed them once to twice a week, depending how they look, with Coral Frenzy 1mm pellet which they accept. I'm a believer in water changes once per week. Transparent tissue growing over the skeleton which eventually colors up. I believe it worked. I've been adding All For Reef daily for the last two weeks and everything has shown improvement.
