Fragging a Micro

how should i frag my new micro? im going to give him a week or so to color back up a little and get used to the new system but i would love to spred some around and maybe trade a couple to a couple of people

I just slice right through with a dremel. Use a diamond bit.

man i might leave this one to my LFS because my dremil quit working lol but i will consider braving it out soon. hes only been in and almost all the heads are half open so far allot of greyish purple with green and red heads only slight red to it hopeing in a few days he'll look better

A dremel huh? I guess thats for cutting through the skeleton? What happens if you inevitably cut a polyp head in half?

yeah im looking at it and i have no idea how i would cut it without cutting a polyp head

i dont think with that many polyps if u kill one or two its a huge lose lol

true true ill see what donny thinks here in a few days when i get out to his store and maybe ill cut one corner to test gotta get a dremal and diamond blade first

Yea but if I wanted to frag mine, theres only like 28-30 polyps so losing a polyp would suck more.

Micromussa heads are smaller than acan heads too, so if youre going to kill a head, youre going to really kill a lot more. Do heads grow back given only small pieces left??

Don't worry about cutting a head in half it will heal up and become whole again. I just pick where i want to frag and cut away. Don't even worry about cutting them in half when i frag. In 2 weeks they will be whole again.

For a micro, Id say put em mid-low area in the tank, with medium flow. Theyll be all happy and opened tomorrow.

Don't worry about cutting a head in half it will heal up and become whole again. I just pick where i want to frag and cut away. Don't even worry about cutting them in half when i frag. In 2 weeks they will be whole again.

I agree. I have cut them a million times with a dremel. If you cut directly through the middle of a head it will heal in no time. Once it heals, the head that you cut will grow another mouth and just keep growing......
