Fragging pavona

i have a pavona coral that is entirely browned out, but still encrusting and now it has encrusted over the epoxy and rock so I can’t get it out but I’d like to frag it, would there be any adverse effects of cutting it underwater? Also do you think it can even come back to color at all. It is brown because the light is not enough but I’m moving to to another tank with better lighting.

Not sure if I’m going colorblind but that isn’t brown. Looks much more like it is bleached or dead to me

The color didn’t really catch the pic too well, it’s pretty brown. It still has small polyps extending so it’s not dead yet, I’m trying to save it if possible.

Ahh okay. Yes you can frag it under water, although obviously not with power tools lol. With good params and light, it should color up in a few weeks-months. Good luck!

Med to high light and flow, but that is a very odd picture because it looks bleached.
