Hello Everyone!

Most of my RAP Orlando buys from last weekend were zoanthids. Upon inspecting them I’ve noticed that most of them were fragged by breaking the frag disks and gluing the polyps on another new disk. I’ve always fragged zoas by peeling them off rocks w a scalpel. This method the vendors use seems to be a lot better because they aren’t destroying the mat the zoas were on. I’m unfamiliar with this process of fragging and was curious if someone has any tips on this. Seems that they would heal and open up much faster like this.

Thanks!!

yes. cutting the zoa takes longer for them to heal and grow out. cutting the rock they're on is easier for quick resale but I much prefer cutting the zoa as I'm cutting small pieces off of colonies
