It totaly amazes me one how many people are selling bugger sized frags. This must be a very profitable undertaking.

my lfs has almost all $15 frags, and they are way bigger than these bugger frags. Even the more expensive frags are like at least 1"x1". I think the bugger frags are ridiculous

I strongly disagree, once you lose a bugger due to a silly incident you KNOW how sill it was. There are tons of these threads and with good reason, you are free to buy what you wish but health wise the success of tiney nubs are not anywhere near the level of nice chunks. A fool and his money will soon be parted IMO>

Everyone wants a nice big frag/colony to start off with but you have to start somewhere. My efflo started from a 1/4" nub and I love it(it was free though). What do peeps want? You've also gotta put in perspective that some bugger pieces out there that people are getting took close to a year to produce for certain pieces. That is where size and price come into the picture. Despite my opinion-you still wont see me out there spending good $ on nub corals-unless its something I have been searching for. If you want it that bad you will pay the price.

I guess what i was trying to say is there seems to be alot of people cutting up colonies and fragging. There are so many up for sale it must be very profitable. I have no problem with people buying frags.

It is. If I buy a colony for 50 and can keep a frag and sell 5 frags for 15....

I personally enjoy growing out 1-2 polyped frags.

+1. I love seeing the way things progress and grow in my tank. I only have a 55 so I can't have huge colonies, but I can grow out frags. I also try to "adopt" corals that are on the brink of dying to rehab them.
