Well, I just read that a super large and intense storm will most likely hit the east coast this Sunday and last into late wednesday. All you shippers and those expecting packages should pay heed. ALways scary when loss of power is a possiblity. What also really sucks is that there will be no trick or treating for my son on Halloween. He's been looking forward to going out all month :(

I already have the generator on my side porch.....hoping I don't have to use it, but it's ready. Just need to pick up some fresh gas.

Good to hear you are prepared. Unfortunately I'm renting an apartment upstairs so no generator for me. I do have my battery back up and battery operated bubbler but those aren't enough for a prolonged outage. If power goes out for an extended period I'd have to transfer most of my pieces to a friends house until everything gets back to normal. I'm really hoping it's not as bad as they're making it out to be. Good luck.

Let's hope it misses the East Coast even though it doesn't look like we will be that lucky. Hope everyone stays safe and their tanks survive.

They're calling it the second coming of the perfect storm. A couple of fronts/systems are going to merge and hit the east coast hard. Definitely caught my attention :rain::sad:

I wish you guys the best of luck. I'm sure it is very scary for you guys considering it is so rare to have that type of storm so far north. Here in Louisiana it is part of the norm. Best advice I can give you guys is get the generators serviced and running good. Only run the necessities such as power heads and vortechs to move the water. For us down here, we have to worry about the heat, so we have frozen RO/DI water on stand by. That is the main reason we only run powerheads, less heat as possible. Good luck and stay safe.

Ugh...This time last year we were dealing with snow and this year it's Frankenstorm. Hopefully, it will be like Irene, a whole lot of nothing.

Good luck with y'all.. I'll be praying that this is just a scare and it goes elsewhere.
