My lfs sells saltwater with Fritz. My tank is new, I don't dose, and I do t have a magnesium test, so maybe take this with a grain of salt. My Alk has been 8.3 or so and my Cal about 380/390. I just bought the 200gal box of salt for $50 (regular $70 maybe?), so it is probably a lot cheaper than some of the other salts I think you were looking at. I have not had problems, but I am quite new.

I used a couple boxes. Calcium a good bit low 350ish and mag was low around 1250ish.

I got the same results just now.

alk 7.0
cal - 380
Mag - 1240
Yeah. It didn't even fall in their range of parameters for 2 or 3 boxes worth so I moved on. Switched to red sea blue bucket and like it. Plenty of people use regular instant ocean with great success. At least with IO it's not super low in anything.
