im wanting to get an anglerfish for an angler only tank and was wondering are frogfish and anglers the same thing??? do they both have the fishing lure on there head?

anyone? i read on reef aquarium fishes by scott w michael and in his book he is calling anglerfish frog fish.

Frog fish are a type of angler fish, in that they have a lure on the end of a specialized first dorsal spine,..however I think the term "angler-fish is a general term given to any fish with with a lure,.i.e. all the strange deep water angler's and variations there of.

In my opinion and experience a Frog fish would be considered a type of shallow water angler fish, there are many different species, and with each species, a different size and shape of the lure itself.

get a hold of zach @ lucid corals... he'll get you what you want

make sure you have a plan/setup in place for providing him live food 2-3x a week, possibly for the rest of his life since he may never accept frozen foods

can they live on ghost shrimp..? cause i see thats what they say too get them eating.. but theres tons on ebay that take frozen and the wartskin is soposed to be pretty easy to get to eat frozen krill with a fishing string..

can a vendor on r2r get me a wartskin angler??
