So ive been picking up interest with frogfish lately, probably will or wont get it eventually, asked one of my friend and they said its a bad idea without giving any further context

Your thoughts about it?

Having had a few Frog Fish I feel the novelty wears off after a couple months, kind of like Lion Fish. Both are awesome looking Fish but the feedings can become tedious and they spend a lot of time sitting or perched. You also limit your choice to tank mates as well.
I have know of some experts in Frog Fish husbandry, it's their specialty. Look for anything written by Renee.

Exactly!!!!

I was going to use Seahorse as an example. Although I would try Seahorse again, Seahorse were my 1st fish ever.
You certainly know what you would be getting into. 😁

As long as you do proper research and know what you're getting into then there should be no issue with it. I'd say the main down side for them is sometimes they are hard to get on frozen food and will only accept live food. So make sure that you have a live food source that you can get on a regular basis. I would avoid freshwater feeder fish as they tend to have too much fat and are not well suited for saltwater fish.
