This morning one of my yellow frogspawns decided to present me with a few small stringy versions of itself. These are similar in length to normal extension but are thin and have several (4 or 5) of the bright yellow bumps on them. When I lightly blasted my corals with the baster to wash away trash a couple of these floated away. OK, what the heck, are these buds? OR is something nipping my frogspawn? I put a crab trap in just in case. I have an new emerald crab at large and I don't really know this guy's personal preference yet. I know sometimes they can be coral nippers.

Mine used to drop what seamed like tentacals off of it and they would grow into new corals. I lost it though in a tank crash in November :( They will also sprout little tiny heads out from the stalk of the coral that easily break off and will grow

So, next time I see this "thing" happen I should capture them in my baster and see if I can grow them in my frag tank? Cool stuff.
