Hey all,
I got a beautiful frogspawn from a friend, and it has some buds that look like tube worms growing on the main branch. It was fragged from a huge mother colony and has 2 heads. The tube worm like things have a reddish tip and do not have any feather duster-y things sticking out. Also, the frogspawn has neon green tentacles on a red polyp base. It is very fleshy. What could these be? I will upload pics tomorrow when the lights turn on

Thanks
Gaultier

The tubeworm-like things sound like vermetid snails. They're kind of cool in their way, but they cast a mucus "net" into the water, capture tiny floating food and reel it in - and that "net" can annoy nearby corals.

A few aren't a problem - a great many can be. (Some folks swear by epoxy or even super-glue gel slathered over the snails' tubes...)
