Frogspawn growing new heads?

Is my frospawn growing new heads? Most of what I’ve seen about frogspawn growth has them starting as buds. These look like full branches. The little tips will retract if they are touched. Are these new or or maybe remnants from the fragging process. I’ve had him for about 6 weeks.
