I've had a frogspawn and 2 hammer frags for months now and they seem tight and retracted. I went to a friends house last night and the heads on his hammer were about 1/4" each where mine are probably less than half of that. Any idea why?

Tank is 155g with wp40 and rw15 powerheads. All 3 pieces are in different locations.
alk 9
cal 420
temp 81
mag 1240
nitrates zero
lighting is 3 reefbreeder value fixtures
I do water changes every week with regular io salt and ro/di water

The temp is a little high. Do you have any flow directed towards them?

Not really. One is near a bubble coral that is doing fine. I also ave a torch on the sand that seems to do the same thing. I have 2 anemones that are also fine. The 2 powerheads are on opposite sides of the tank over half way up the glass and slightly pointed upward. One is constant and one is in wave mode with neither turned up all the way.

I keep my hammers close to the corner and put them all together. I have a mp10 in a 90 gallon that sways the water back and forth. They require moderate to low water flow and moderate lighting. Move them around different spots and try to keep them off the sand.
