Hello everyone, I’ve got a RedSea 350 setup as a mixed reef (in progress). I’ve recently added some euphyllia corals, a few hammer frags, a Frogspawn frag, and an octospawn frag. All was well, no major parameter swings that I’ve seen with the trident I’m using. However, in the last few days one of my hammers completely bailed out of the skeleton and all other euphyllia look partially closed and are not opening fully. Soft coral in the tank as well as a bubble coral are all opening fully as well as my bubble tip anemones. I’ll add photos once the lights kick on today. I’ve inspected each frag for flatworms and other pests. Not quite sure what is happening. Any help would be appreciated!

Here are my current parameters as of today…

(HANNA)
Ultra low range Phosphate: 0.0
High range Nitrate: 0.0

(NEPTUNE TRIDENT)
Alk: 9.74
Mag: 1210
Cal: 487
PH: 8.08
Temp: 78

Zero nitrate and phosphate could definitely upset your euphyllia, in fact I surprised your soft corals aren’t even angrier. Softies like even higher nitrate and phosphate. I would get phosphates up to.05-.1 and nitrates up to 10-15. Also flow (random) and light are very important. Both should be moderate. Here’s an example of my flow.

This is stumping me bc I feed daily, had an algae bloom, cut back on nutrients, and started feeding heavy again. Maybe the remaining algae is sucking up the nutrients? Thanks for your help! I’ll throw some photos in here in a second as well.

I may try dosing something slightly to raise nutrients as well, I believe I have something from Quantum leftover that may do the trick.
