I'm following to see how the Flux RX treatment works for you. I'm battling a similar outbreak in my tank and hesitant to dose at the moment. Keep us posted on how it goes!

Again another long wait between updates.

Finally getting some sort of grip on the algae situation, finally gave in and ordered some Flux RX - dosed as per instructions.

Now on day 5 of the treatment, seems to be going really well. Not completely hands-off but what is lol, After some scrubbing, picking and manual removal of the algae it's finally seems to be coming off relatively easy.

also got a Coral Box QP-9 for a decent price 2nd hand. Seems relatively new and will hopefully provide decent flow when I move over to the 650 along with another one possibly. This combined with the flux seems to be doing a great job of keeping the algae down.

I'm trying to source some different snails as well but selection near me is pretty limited or they're already dead in the stock tanks! And I also picked up a Chalk Goby to replace my first/second? (maybe) fatality - My orange spotted goby jumped out of the tank. I did manage to get him in water and resus him but couple hours later he was gone. Think the stress was too much or possibly the landing :(
Also cannot find my Algae Blenny ANYWHERE - so i'm assuming he's in the big reef in the sky.

These were taken on the 30th of Jan, just to show some of the algae as it was (again terrible quality my phone HATES taking photos of the tank lol)

Still a lot of manual clean up to go, no matter how much i do as soon as I dry my hands some has ended up on the sand lol.

I also made my first impulse buy.... Luckily I have observed it eating frozen Mysis but am also seeding copepods into the tank quite heavily also to help with any potential Diatom problems in the future.

Any suggestions for the WM for better flow? currently it's situated more to the front, at the top of the tank. My theory being that the return pump and WM will assist in bringing the same flow, Although i have ended up with very much a cyclone type movement.

Thanks guys,
