Front Pane Seams Disaster in the Making?

Just noticed these on both upper front glass seams. It’s in between the black silicone. I should be worried? I could feel a slight bow in the front glass pane since it’s been new. Top left and top right.

If it’s bowing, I would say that you have a concerning issue. It shouldn’t bow at all if it is structurally sound.

What size tank is it?

Yes another Red Sea disaster in the making. Look for a replacement sooner than later.

If it is a Red Sea the concern just went up due to the brand history of seam failures.

That looks similar to my red sea 350. I sent red sea a picture and they advised me to take down the tank immediately. This was three weeks ago. My wife still had the receipt for the tank from eight years ago, I sent it to Red Sea and they gave me a credit of $625 towards a new RS aquarium. I ended up ordering the 750 xxl g2 that is currently on its way to me. I would highly advise getting a new tank sooner than later. Maybe pick up a leak monitor in the mean time?

Start getting a contingency plan together, and a migration plan to a new tank.

I would strap the tank, and plan a replacement ASAP.

That looks like it would go at any moment. But you can guarentee it will be at the most invonvenient time.

If it's a seam failure, it will not progress linearly. Shore up the tank and start emptying it asap as can be done safely for the animals without causing unnecessary loss. Send an email to red sea and deal with them directly.

Looks like the start of seam failure. JMO but I think RS used some crappy silicone. I recently tore down my Gen 1 reefer 170 because of a seam failure.

I’ve emptied and moved the livestock into this temporarily. I’ve had a tank crack before and I’m not willing to go there again. Ordering a tank tonight. I still have to move the Kessil over, I’m looking for the key to get the bracket off the tank.

It is almost shocking to me that these failures occur even on these smaller tanks.
