Hey everyone my sps isnt looking so hot, before i get into any real detail about whats going on here are my tank specs:

Alk:10
Cal: 450
Mag: 1400
Nitra: 0
Nitri: 0
Amm: 0
Phosphate: 0
Temp 78
Salinity 1.025
Phosban Reactor running
Tunze Skimmer
Sump with a DSB Refugium and lots of Cheato

Running two Radion XR30W over a 80 gallon rimless 48x24x16
2xVortech MP10

*Note Running lights at 35% Note*

Now heres my problem, i have a bunch of sps frags and like 2mini mini colonys, of sps i had pickedu p from a friend who has a very healthy mature sps tank of around 7-8 years now. All the sps looks good for a bout a couple days and today everyone is browning out, ive noticed polyp extension decreasing as well. THe only things that look good are the clam, a milli one acro and the montis thats it. All the other acros look like complete crap. What should i do lol! Any help is appreciated!

You're running phosban when your phosphate is 0. That could be part of the issue. SPS need some phosphate to grow and survive.

I would think one of the problems is not enough light. Crank those babies up! I have mine at 70% about 8 inches off the water

What kind of lights did the SPS come from
How long have you had them
Do you know what your friend kept his KH at and what level was his PO4

Browning out sounds like lack of light. My sps started looking better when i hit 45% on my radions (on radiant color pre setting gen 1's not pro). Also, you want a little PO4. I would bump up the light and stop the phosban.

Worth adding-don't panic and jump to what any one person suggests, take it all in and make an educated guess-lots of opinions out there and if you start "jumping" youll regret it-IMO

Id ask your friends advise where the SPS came from, 7-8 years of successful SPS keeping is note worthy

Wow I think 20 inchs is high. I would leave it at the percentage you have but lower the light. If I remember correctly they suggest 12 inches on the ecotech's web site. Need to double check that though..

That's a big jump in intensity. I started at about 45% and did the acclamation Programe of 5% a week until I got to 55-60%. I always think that when they darken they need more light and lighten less light. I have also found with Leds that the closer I am to 7 dkh my corals look better. I would also feed your tank more 0 nitrate isn't exactly great you starve your tank. I just bumbed my intensity up to 70% with my lights 10" off of the water. Next month I'm going to try 75% but I have been running radions for over a year.

I run my leds at 100% about 12 Inches off water for 8 hours a day. Also have you checked your potassium and do you feed corals?

I would say they are needing more light and should lower the lights between 8-12" above water line.
What are you using to measure Po4?

I personally think it has to do with the light change. Coming from halide to led. Also noticed you are running mp10's. What's the placement and setting? 48" is a lot of water to cover for mp10

I house many acros .I have lots of flow with mp'40s positioned around tank. My lighting consists of 2 Orphek Pr 156 leds. Keep my potassium around 380-390 ppm. Also I am running a low nutrient system using zeovit. Keep my alk. in the range of 7 dkh. Stability is the key to success.
