FS- Tisbe pods and Phytoplankton

Hi all,

I’m offering pods and phyto from my cultures. All cultures are harvested fresh and are shipped in 12oz PET clear plastic bottles with tamper-proof caps. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions!

Pods are Tisbe biminiensis, they will breed on live rock and within refugia, and are perfect tropical pods for reef tanks, they do not require refrigeration. Cultures utilize the green water method. Culture water is sterile and does not EVER come into contact with other reef organisms. Cultures are packed full of adults and juveniles.

Phytoplankton is nannochloropsis. This is great for filter feeders, starting your own cultures, or as a periodic additive to the reef tank. culture water is autoclaved before inoculation, and uses sterile artificially mixed saltwater. Cultures are tested at harvest using the secchi method, and are guaranteed to contain between 40-61 million cells per milliliter. Airline tubing is run through a particle filter to ensure that cultures are not contaminated. Fertilier used is micro algae grow, NOT miracle grow.

Typically, they are shipped USPS Priority with a 48 hr heat pack if necessary. I can also ship them overnight if that is the buyers preferred option.

They are a great, steady supply of food for finicky eaters and corals. They will also graze on algal film and detritus in the tank, especially all the tiny holes and cracks in live rock that a typical clean-up crew can't reach.
