@JoshH The tank says 98 gal and the sump is 35 but I would also think that the sump may be more like 25-28 once filled but that also includes a 5 gal section for the ato. Right now I have 2 brutes with 30 gal in each and my 40B sump from the 90 with around 37-38 gal. Plus the 40B that everything is in right now.

@Scurvy I'm sure they will, of that I have no doubt. Plan now is to get the tank and the stand to me so I can inspect it completely. If the stand damage is not acceptable, they said they will send me what ever I need to fix it. The rest of the damage looks to be just to the box. The styrofoam did it's job, for the most part. Just not where the damage is. The damage is about 6" long and the dent is about 1/2". If its the back of the stand, it probably won't matter much as long as the integrity of the stand is OK.

Question is, are the measurements inside the glass or outside? I think it's outside as the cabinet dimensions match

Tanks are always sold by the outside dimensions. Makes sense as you need to know if it will fit in a space in the house. Some companies (few) will list the water volume and even break down the sump or AIO compartments compared to the display.

Here are two examples of tanks I have assuming where I would put the water line:

JBJ 45
Actual Display: 30
Actual Compartments: 7.5
Total Water Volume: 37.5
% of sold volume: 83.3% (=37.5/45)

JBJ 30
Actual Display: 21.1
Actual Compartments: 5.5
Total Water Volume: 26.6
% of sold volume: 88.7% (=26.6/30)

It's what I believe as well @NY_Caveman. Just don't know how they get their figure of 98.91. When I plug in their numbers I get 93.4 on 1 site and 93.59 on MD's site. On another I get 98.88 they all are different

So I have a question:

Should I put my skimmer in with the corals and live rock in the 40B?

I hope to only have the corals in there for a week or 2. Only as long as it takes me to get the tank set up. I am saving the rock and water but replacing the sand with Ocean's Direct. I hope it doesn't have a cycle using what I have for rock already. I will be putting some new rock in the tank as well but I will use all the old rock before I put any new in. I hope it doesn't cause a mini cycle.

Sorry I missed this:(

Who who was handeling this.

SEFL picked it up from Waterbox but handed it off to A.Duie Pyle in Va/Pa. There was a Pyle sticker on the box indicating they received the package already damaged

Don’t take any crap (I’m sure no one will give you any) and get yourself another tank, the best tank and stand that you deserve to get as a winner. It might take some extra time but that’s okay.
