I have been tinkering with a new fuge, and I was hoping I can post some pics to see if any of you can see if there is something I might be doing wrong or something I can do better. I’m getting great growth but I’m always looking to better my reef.

please be honest, I’m on my 3rd year in the hobby and I’m still learning ALOT. Mostly through trial and error. I’m looking to you, the VETS who been in the game for while.

That is the most perfect shaped ball of chaeto that I have ever seen, lol.

Fuge looks good... the little powerheads must give good flow and movement to the chaeto.

Lol you guys. I have given it a hair cut, as you can see in the picture. Also there are two power heads in there. One blowing to the bottom and the other pointing up to assist in the spin. And it’s hard to see and my video didn’t upload but it’s more in a shape of a 3 gallon bucket on the side. As far as the lighting or what’s in the tank, should I try a different set up/layout? May I see what you guys are rolling with?

How in the world..... every perfectionists dream right there! My cheato looks like a dinosaur egg at best lol. Honestly it looks like you’re doing great! If you want just a basic, functional fuge then this thing is awesome!!! You could add some other macros just for color/variety and make a mini fuge display with a coral banded or arrow crab as the centerpiece critter but as far as functionality goes, that thing is perfect!

Mine doesn't tumble at all but still grows like crazy (PAR38 'purple' grow light). You look like you're doing fine - but you have space there to add more stuff - maybe Xenia?

For what ever reason, I can not keep Xenia. But what’s funny about this comment, I found a Craig’s list post about someone in my area selling some on Craigslist. Think I’m gonna give him a shout.
