Occupants.
Dosed Dr. Tim's One and Only on top of the freshly added Marine Pure and added three of these guys from my other tank 6 days ago.
More recently (day or two ago) added the final two of the initial school.
They've been eating voraciously since transferred.

Hey there following along with this as I'm in the market for the MiniReef 160 also as well for a SPS dominant environment...

Are you able to show some pics of the sump area etc?

Can't wait to see some further progress

Cheers!

Tail end of the diatoms. Wasn't very aggressive.
A single Strombus was the MVP through the worst of it. Back and forth along the length of the tank, clearing patches like it was getting paid to do it.
Added my 2.5yr old Clowns to accompany the Chromis, to continue the migration from my smaller tank.

Thanks!
I'm really looking forward to the day of coral addition. Luckily I have a 'holding' tank off to the side that I've been able to fill with a few pieces in anticipation, so it won't be as big a shock to the hip pocket when I finally unleash and start stocking.
I'm also spoiled for choice with my local LFSs, so I get to be super picky about the quality of corals that go in.

Oh! I forgot to add that I picked up this little trooper yesterday. I have it in an acclimatisation box for the mean time since it's so small.
Was a little concerned with its slightly pinched belly but that was alleviated when I got it smashing brine shrimp the size of its head with no qualms.
Upon inspection and feeding today, it's very active and the noticeable depression has started to subside so I am happy with the progression.

Latest FTS. Added a couple more pieces of dry rock for surface area, felt like I might run out of room too quickly. Still maintains a minimalist look because the new pieces slotted so well into the existing island.

The current fish family. See if you can spot the little guy from last post.

So today's the day! A few test SPS pieces and one of my Zoa rocks have made their way into the tank.
First water change was done with the Aquaforest Priobiotic Reef Salt for about 11% total volume last Sunday. I've recently been dosing the AF Pro Bio S and AF -NP Pro and will soon hook up my AF Component 123 through the Kamoer.
In addition to those, I will be dosing the following manually: AF Build, AF Energy, AF Amino Mix & AF Vitality. I have also been using Aquaforest's Fish V product when feeding (one drop into 2 frozen cubes worth every 2-3days).
Here is a picture of PAR readings (Seneye Reef) and current coral placement @ 80% intensity on the Kessils. I will be shifting things over time to find most suitable spots for lighting and flow.

Following. Its looking very nice. I am thinking of building a mini reef with 2xKessilA360 wide angle myself. Im glad I get to see your tank. Im loving it.
