Fumigating for pests

Hey all,

We've developed a pest problem and it looks like we are going to have fumigation our house.
Has anyone with a reef tank done this?
If so what were the results?
The exterminators seem to think just covering up the tank with a sheet will do the trick.
I'm open to suggestions.
