Functional Wrasse suggestions

I'm looking to add some wrasses for my 180 to help with any possible coral pests that may come in by accident after dipping procedures..

I like sixlines but I would like multiple wrasses and would prefer a fish that doesn't end up terrorizing other fish. Currently it seems a trio or so of yellow coris wrasses would be the route I go. However, I heard recently possum wrasses would be good as well.

Any suggestions? Has to be safe with a cleaner shrimp and possibly fairy/flasher wrasses.

I also would follow the same route with the yellow coris wrasses. I have head great things of possum wrasses but never gotten one before. I am tagging along for more info.

I have a green wrasse that loves Bristle worms. He is constantly digging in the sand for morsels. This is a fish that will be quite large though. Mine is about 7 or 8".
Why not try a cleaner wrasse?
I have a six line that does not really bother anyone but he is small and the rest of my fish are huge.

I would stay away from the six line if you want any other wrasses. H. chrysus would be great as would H. melanurus or H. chrysotaenia. I have a chrysus and chrysotaenia and they get along great and are constantly on the hunt.

When it comes to pest eradication, nothing beat a Melanurus IMO & E. They generally won't harm shrimp & other crustaceans, but escargot is sometimes on the menu. I have a large male, and the guy I got him from had him in a 150 gal with multiple fairy/flasher wrasses without issue.

Mine eats shrimp...super annoying as I can't get any peppermints to survive and help with apstasia :( Would try a different one if you want shrimp.

If you can find or get lucky to have a healthy one, red tail or yellow tail tamarin wrasses are super cool and well behaved. Also good hunters for pests!

Huh. Mine is a good 4-5" and doesn't mess with any of my shrimp. I even added a small cleaner shrimp recently. I guess just two fish with different personalities...

Wrasses of the Genera Halichoeres and Macropharyngodon both do a good job of eating coral pests. H. chrysus is an excellent choice. I am also a big fan of H. iridis, timorensis, richmondi, and leucurus. Of these I have found H. richmondi to eat pests most eagerly.

I really like the suggestions ^above^ am still looking for a healthy small Radiant Wrasse to add to my collection, maybe even a Yellow Coris if I can reduce the fish bio-load a bit by removing my ever growing Blochii Tang. I have a Ornate Leopard and Melanurus Wrasse now as my main pest control fish and 3 Fairy Wrasses that they pretty much ignore.

Seems H. Chrysus or H. Chrysotaenia may be my best bets, mainly H. Chrysus as many are saying and I was thinking from the beginning. Maybe I'll also try Leopards from Macropharyngodon. Really just concerned with my cleaner shrimp to keep my tangs and company as happy as possible as they're always going for a clean. Seems as far as Halichoeres, it's a possible gamble depending on the specific species.
