Introduction:

Hello to all just wanted to post up a little write up on my tank. Sorry if theres any mistakes or if I put the wrong things in the wrong section on here. Been thinking about setting up a tank for a year or so. I finally pulled the trigger and bought one from a friend in October of 2010. It was still set up and ready to go only thing it needed was a light. Live rock and live sand all came from his established tank so it helped speed up the process. Thanks for looking Ive included a few pics of my progress thanks to all for looking and please any info or feedback compliments or concerns let me know. Im still taking baby steps here so if you see anything im doing wrong let me know thank you.

Water Parameters:
Sg: 1.026
Ca: 420-450
Mg: 1300
Alk: 8.5-8.9
Temp: 78 - 81
PO4 & NO3: Undetectable

Lighting:

I bought this tank from a good friend who provided me with a pendant all I had to do was get a new bulb for the mh.

Photoperiod :
MH: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Maintenance:

I keep a pretty tight grip on the maintenance of the tank. I do a 15% water change once a week. I like changing small quantities more often to lessen the shock on the tank. I replace the carbon about every month. I clean the glass every other day. I clean the skimmer & pumps biweekly. Change filter floss and clean sponge in chamber 1 weekly.

Great looking tank! Your War coral looks amazing! Does the Gobie give you any troubles depositing sand on stuff?

thanks for the kind words skins the gobie doesnt give me any trouble at all he does move sand around but not enough to make it cloudy or make a mess actually if he gets some on any of my zoas he eventually gets to it and scoops it up.
Nano newb the skimmer i got my friend helped me find it was made just for the nanacubes the company sapphire aquatics went out of bussiness i know theres an article on here some where but its made just for it works awesome. i have seen them online for about 80 bucks but very hard to find now adays one of the few skimmers out there that fits in the back chambers.

You are going to have an awesome zoa garden once all those frags grow out. Looks like you have a great start, and I really like that two spot goby.

I like the light fixture bracket design... now if you could just find some thing other than the adjustable hooks you have to hang the lights;)
