Fuzzy Emerald Crab?

Has anyone ever had emerald crabs that started growing hair-like fuzz on them? Had them for about a month and a half, but this just became noticeable over the past couple of days. Is this something normal, caused by certain water conditions,

or could it be some type of growth that I need to try to get moved to a qt tank?

I had a strawberry crab in my last tank that got all hairy. Turned out to be algae

I've had emeralds before, but never had one get this fuzzy. His back legs were always hairy, but never on his back. I thought that he may be getting ready to molt, but didn't know if that had anything to do with it. As long as it's nothing detrimental to him or anything else in my tank, I'm good! Thanks guys.
