FYI "Refractometer problem"

I just wanted to tell my experience in case anyone else has this problem or to head it off so no one else does. so i have a sps reef. and it has been declining over the past month daily. I couldn't figure it out parameters were all within range. well im on ebay the other day and see a good deal for a Milwaukee sg reader get it, long story short my sg in my tank was 22 and my refractometer was reading 37. i calibrated it several times and always 37. so just giving a heads up.

I had the same prob with my first Refractometer not sure what brand. I returned it and got another with the same prob. Turned out that the calibrating fluid in that batch was seriously off. I went and bought some at my LFS and calibrated it correctly.
