So I wanted to avoid leaking plumbing, and decided to try out the @Aquaforest AF Silicone Lubricant. It is fish safe, and I feel like I barely used any of the tiny bottle. I used it on the union gaskets and the bulkhead gaskets. Everything had been sitting dry since February, so fingers crossed, it helps.

Anyone else use this before? I feel like it's worth the $3.

Hand-tight on bulkhead nuts; then test…

If they leak; tighten 1/4 turn max using a tool, then test again!

Yup! Silicone lubricant works fantastic to help bulkheads seal; any 100% silicone o-ring lubricant will work great, and is handy to have around for the numerous seals on a reef aquarium!
Definitely... I used to use food grade on triclover clamp gaskets in dairy

It will also be nice to have when rebuilding/ cleaning pumps, skimmers, reactors... anything with a seal or oring.
