I can’t tell if I’m growing Coraline algae or if it is old purple on an old rock.

Hard to tell but those dots on that rock are the color of Coraline algae.

Ordered the 2nd Hydra Twenty Six. Gotta figure out how I am going to mount these. Should be here on Friday.

Diatoms for the most part have subsided, there are a few spots left on the rocks. The tank seems to be a bit less cloudy today so hoping that really clears up here in the next few days.

Ammonia- 0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate- 10
KH- 6.5 not sure if this is right. I hate the Red Sea KH that comes with the complete kit.
Salinity- 1.025

2nd Hydra came in and hooked up. Wow does this 2nd one make the tank pop! With the new light the wife said we needed to add something so we went and got a purple hammer.

I didn’t want to spend the $150 on the hydra mounts so I did a diy pvc mount for now.

Hammer just got added. I will add a better photo once it opens.

Nice tank dude. I saw on your fish list you wanted a shrimp/goby pair. I would recommend a yasha goby and a red snapping shrimp or a candy striped snapping shrimp. There striking red/white colors are AMAZING and colors like that are very rare in this hobby besides for maybe peppermint angels and some coral.

My wife will love you! He/she will have a good home I promise! We don’t plan to add much else till the end of the year as we are going to be gone most of November and holidays with a 1 year are going to be crazy I’m sure! Adding the 2nd hydra was an absolute game changer.

It will be a few weeks before we can break away. Maybe we can meet 1/2 way if we decide not to go to KC. I'm having problems with my hydras, have them hooked up through the phone and I keep getting and update message. I hit update and they load about 1/2 way then choke.

I would for sure be willing to meet halfway. I had the same issue until I added my second one. Figuring out how to pair a parent and child unit was beyond my technical skills. I don’t get why they make this stuff so challenging.
