So last week finally decided to try and get rid of the bryopsis once and for all, starving it wasn't doing anything, and weekly pulling only was keeping it in check. I went and picked up the infamous Tech M and a sea hare who has been free grazing for the last week and has already made one heck of a difference. Before and after pics below (one week)

And a few others just for fun.

What a great looking reef! Glad to see you got that bryopsis under control.

I use a T3i in AV mode and shoot in .raw When shooting coral I use a 100mm 2.8 lens and when I shoot top down or FTS I use the standard lens that comes with the camera. The front of the biocube is slightly curved so I can't shoot corals with the 100mm through it, the curve won't allow the lens to focus. That really sucks as that's where the best corals are! Aperture is usually 9 but taking it to 2.8 and 16 depending on the effect I'm going for. Oh, and for setting white balance, I use a "frosted" lens cover to set custom wb for each shoot. Back in the day i used to use a lid from a pringles chip can. Hope that answers your question!

Snapped this guy the other day, he's always goofing off up in the birdnest, if crabs could have a "personality" this guy would have one.

And within the last week or so, Fin [the clown] has decided to host my Sinularia or as the 12yo calls it, the celery plant. The other clown won't let him host in the RBTA with him.

My husband always called my sinularia celery also. My baby clown also hosted mine since his parents wouldn't share their nem with him. I have since sold the parents and the giant nem when I downsized, so "Baby" has his own Lil' RBTA , actually he has 2 because it split.

I'm no coral whisperer, but I'm pretty sure he's saying "more mashed 'taters please"

It's a slow process, but it works. I keep my mag up around 1650 and it's slowly dying off. Might take 6 months or so to kill it completely
