Question for those who have constructed Plywood tanks. I am gathering materials for a Large plywood tank 96" x 72" x 32" with Glass on 2 sides. i will be fiberglassing the entire inside and I am looking at what to coat the inside with. I am thinking of using Gel coat thinkiing if it will hold up to salt water on the bottom of a boat it would be a good coating. But all of the plywood tanks I see in this forum seem to be using epoxy like Corotech or Pond Shield?

I used pond armor for my plywood tanks. Its easy to work, low VOC, and its aquarium safe.

Has anyone used Rubberized paint for their tanks? It’s used for ponds and other applications with low VOC but I’m wondering if it will hold up like epoxy?
