Saw this guy today at aquatic warehouse in San Diego. Looked to be pretty healthy and not shy at all.

Looks good. If he eats well...nothing wrong with paying $600 for a robust gem from the LFS. The small ones still trade hands for a little more than the normal sized ones.
 
3.5 - 4” running about $400 by me.
