Is there a good general guide on order to add fish? Species wise. I know it will differ fish to fish but overall could be a good starting point for people building and planning tanks.

Well I was thinking overall general list. Me specifically. 210 mix reef

It really can vary, based on what some of the overall plan ends up being. Cardinals, anthias, flasher wrasses, firefish, dartfish, are usually good early additions. Angels, tangs, dottybacks, and damsels are better added towards the end.

Like eatbreakfast said....least aggressive first, most aggressive last. I think wrasses (especially fairy and flasher) are great to add anytime because they won't mess with any other fish and are either ignored by the more aggressive fish or are not intimadated easily by them. If you plan to keep shy fish like dartfish/firefish add them as the very first fish.

It's also important to research specific fish that don't tolerate each other. Some times tangs will not tolerate even unrelated fish that are similarly shaped.
