I am nearing the decision to pull the trigger on one of GEO's sump that has a built in Clarisea automatic filter rollers and would like everyone's thoughts, especially owners of their sumps.

My questions to date are:

  1. Is it a concern that you cannot remove the Clarisea filter itself out of the sump to clean? I imagine that section of the sump may get pretty dirty over time with algae, sponges, etc growing on the acrylic
  2. Is the advertised 21" really all the clearance we need under the stand to comfortably change out the filter rolls?
  3. Does raising the skimmer section water level affect the head pressure of the water in the Clarisea, affecting its performance?
Too bad they don't have a good video demonstrating their AFR sump line like they do with the R-series...
