I’m in the process of figuring out how to plumb a UV sterilizer in. After the bacterial slime bloom I had I want to be prepared for anything. My initial thought is to put it in the glass door to the left of the MD. If I do this it means another leak detection sensor as well. Got some drawing to do. I have plenty of pvc leftover so that won’t be a problem but it is no fun installing it when the tank is already up against the wall. Hmmmm

I pulled the Achilles tang out of the tank today as well. He will not stop bullying the others. First it was just the purple but now that the white tail was moved over from quarantine he went after him as well. Bummer but I want a peaceful group. I have already located a home for him in a friends 200 where he can grow and mature. I was worried it was going to be a task to remove him but he swam away from me and around a corner right into the net. Lol
Hopefully this will bring my clowns back to the front. They have posted up in the back and only come around for feeding time.

My quarantine is looking empty now. Just some Banggai cardinals and a fathead Anthias. Always loved the pattern on these guys. They are 1.5 weeks away from being moved.

This guy is a pig just like the purple tang! Everything that goes in the tank is like candy and won’t stop eating till it’s all gone. Haha

This is the cave of the white tail bristle tooth. He is poking his head out in the pic but it’s hard to see. When nobody is near the tank he happily grazes all over but as soon as someone comes near he retreats to his home. Hope he starts to feel more comfortable eventually. It’s like my clowns on the other side. They were chased into a back cave by that mean Achilles. I really only see them at feeding.

Absolutely no more fish are going into the display from quarantine till my lid arrives. Pharaoh the pyramid butterfly went for a jump last night and landed between the side wall and left frag tank cabinet. It took me way too long to get it back in the water having to fish him out from an inch wide gap. Looks all beat up. Sucks. :( Breathing is highly accelerated this morning and scales are all out of shape. I hope he makes it. Was doing so well. Hard to see in the picture but he has a scrape right below the pectoral fin. He is in a hospital tank now for observation.

Thank you! I actually love the smaller WaterBox models! The cube and the mini peninsula are great options for tanks! Please make sure to do a build thread on your tank. It’s great for reviewing and getting input from others. Even just looking back at pics from when your started after a few years. ;)

Update: pharaoh has slowed his breathing to a more normal rate. Still looks battered and bruised. Feeling bad for him right now.

Well I said I wasn’t going to put anymore LPS in this tank but I couldn’t pass up this torch that became available. I’ll keep it till the SpS grow in a bit more. Lol

Already getting some great growth! Moonshiners method is working great. Have not changed a drop of water. This is a before and after 30 days on just one of the acros.
