How long does ot take for a rescued scoly to get its shape back?

We hold them for about 6 to 8 months before we sell them and I'd say it'll take another year and half or so to fully fill in. So all in all you are looking at a 2 year project. It's actually pretty cool to watch them fully come back from what ailed them. We do whatever is takes to save our corals.

We literally have over 2000 gallons just for treating, quarantining and rescuing corals such as these.

Thats awesome! Do their feeding tents still expand like a fully shaped coral and should you feed them more often?

They do and they will! I wouldn't feed them more often as it takes them the same amount of time to digest their food as a fully grown Scoly. Target feed them a very small amount 2x per week, but no more than that.

What's going on?
I just meant I could never keep them alive. I haven’t had any in years. But before I’d know they would shrivel up and die. Guessing my parameters or lighting was off in some way back then. Been scared to mess with em since.

While we wait, is BJD a foreign "brought into the tank" issue like a pest issue, or is it parameters off so one goes nuclear and takes the rest with them.
