Gettin this chalice to eat?

How many of you guys have had a stubborn chalice to get to eat?
Mine hasnt ever ate since ive had it no matter how hard I try?

What are some tricks?

Ive never seen it put out its tentacles

Some chalice puts out tentacles and some don't. Check it at night in the dark and see if you see tentacles. If not you will have to train it. What i do to train it is cut off all powerheads and put some mysis on top of it. It will sense the food and put out it's tentacles. Do this over and over again when you feed and it will get use to it and put out it's tentacles when you put food in the water. Oh if you have shrimp and crabs you'll have to fight them off as they will try to steal the food.

+1 if you put the mysis ontop of a mouth and let it sit for a while they usually will eat it
