Tissue recession and skeleton showing

Hey guys pretty much these were my first 2 ever LPS coral to try small frag of candy cane and acan. From the moment i put them in my tank they straight away had tissue recession and skeleton showing to the point I thought they are dead. Fast forward over a month candy cane is not the best still pretty bad no progress. Acan has got a bit better but still not 100%. Also at night the acan shows skeleton but when lights come on its better. Parameters are. Nitrate 5 (just got it up from dosing was bottomed out due to algae) phosphates 0 detectable i can't seem to get a reading at all I even started dosing up to 0.05 still no reading. Alk 8 calc 430 or so mag 1430. Some help would be nice ive held off on gettig any new Coral due to this.

I have 2 popbloom rl90 on the 4 foot tank. Settings are decent but i was wondering if i should turn them up more i dont have a par meter. The pictures show a bit dark in reality its brighter

I would turn it up, the corals are a good indication IMO. I have the rl90 on a 30 gallon 18" deep tank set at full strength, your tank looks deeper?

My tank i think is around 20" deep. Whats your settings for the rl90 heres mine what do u think. Turn up blue and purple? Ive also had algae and cyano/dino issue so thats why i havnt been turning it up more.

White 25% purple 50% blue 70% last one 30%

Should i raise the blues slowly how to know if their getting too much light ?

I would yes, maybe 5% or 10% every 2 weeks something like that

I run 2rl60 on a 40b at 50% and have 75-100 par on the substrate.
