I just received a One Spot Foxface from WWC today. About 2.5” long. I put it in the quarantine tank this morning and let the light come on late afternoon. I put nori on a clip and tried some spirulina brine shrimp this evening. He would taste the shrimp and spit it out. I know it’s likely still stressed from shipping but it’s my usual routine with a new fish. Any idea what will get it eating? Seems a bit scrawny but looks in good shape otherwise. I have let this tank run and grow algae knowing I’d eventually get one.

Try some garlic additive if you can find any at your LFS. Mysis or some other chopped meaty option might also be good to try, never know what it might like.

What a difference a couple days make. It is eating nori, pellets and anything else I give it. I added a chunk of bubble algae and he eats it too. I bought this Foxface to eat bubble algae that I’m starting to see in my tank. Pithos are not keeping up. Only problem is this fish is tiny. Hopefully the time in quarantine is good for growth.

They eat like pigs and grow fast
