Hey check this out. This guy built a half gallon canister reef. Don't know if you saw this yet.

that's pretty awesome. good chance its going to rust over time but im sure if he searched he could find a plastic replacement for that ring and latch. half gallon is out there but if he follows what me and Brandon tell him it will last. but right now he has no flow at all and only plans to open it every 3 months. it doesn't work that way. he has to open it weekly and he has to have flow.

actually its very simple. he just ignored common sense :-) gotta have flow and fresh air otherwise the water will become stagnant and the little bit of macro wont produce much oxygen to replenish the tank. even if he had it packed with macro, without flow its not going to do any good.

maybe, or maybe he will take advice. that's what I always hope. im far from an expert on anything but ive done a lot of research and talked to Brandon enough and his vase has been running strong for 9 years or so.
