Are you brave enough to frag that coral? He said strip the flesh of the base, I'd be afraid I would damage or kill the coral.

Strip the flesh off and then glue it.
When my pistol shrimp wants lunch the section he gets grows back quickly

Your pistol shrimp eats your coral? That's why i don't want one. Maybe a coral banded shrimp or fire shrimp. But I heard if you have a coral banded shrimp it won't tolerate or attack other shrimp. Idk
