I got an appointment for interview number six today, I wonder if I'll make it to interview 20.lol

it takes time. but look into temp services. that's how I got this job. they do a lot more than just day labor. a lot of big companies are only doing temp to hire now a days.

I do industrial construction in the petrochemical industry now. That is like temp jobs. I graduated with a degree in process technology to get a permanent job as plant operator. My dad did it for 38 years, my sister does it (she is now a supervisor) for about 15 now, and several other relatives. There are many plants in this area, and more are adding on and building. Eventually it'll happen. I plan on working for 20-25 years, then retiring. At least, that's the plan. With these jobs you top at $32-$38 an hour as an operator with good benefits and retirement. Just hoping and praying.

Construction is an on and off thing, no stability in it, it pays ok but no real benefit.

Your young, how do you not hold up. Oil refineries and chemical plants many times will hire people with little or no experience, and train you for the job. You just have to be the lucky one to get picked you know. It always depends what they are looking for at that time.
Also, I believe Ohio is a union state, and Louisiana is a right to work state. Idk if that makes a big difference in hiring or not. I don't see how or would.

im 27, and joined the army when I was 17. my body might be young, but it doesn't feel young. my last health assessment said I had the body of a 47 year old man.

I was in a union for a little while. I liked it. but most unions aren't as good as mine was. they voted out all the corrupt people and voted in new. at that point it was all about the workers again and not about the union fat cats stuffing their pockets.
