im 27, and joined the army when I was 17. my body might be young, but it doesn't feel young. my last health assessment said I had the body of a 47 year old man.
I probably have the energy of a 65 year old. Lol But for real, I need to get in better shape eventually. All those ladders and stairs aren't fun.

I was in a union for a little while. I liked it. but most unions aren't as good as mine was. they voted out all the corrupt people and voted in new. at that point it was all about the workers again and not about the union fat cats stuffing their pockets.
They are all about those union fees.

I cut caffeine out for a while. I was also on a diet where I lost about 40 pounds. but I like food and pop too much lol so im not far behind where I started. once I move to the new job ill start losing weight again.

Me too, about 6 or so years ago I lost a good 85 pounds. I have pcos, it's a hormonal issue that can cause alot of weight gain. Well, when my life gets on track eventually, I will do it again.

Cokes are the problem with most people and weight gain. People drink it like water, I know do and have. When I lost all that weight, I only drank water and skim milk.

lol my diet was awesome but a bit expensive.

first 20 pounds dropped in the first month. my diet was simple. monster rehabs, steak, cheese, and greek yogurt. basically high protein low carb diet.
the next month I mixed it up, ate chicken pork and steak, cut back on the cheese, put in salad, fruit, and drank more water and less monster and lost about 10 pounds.
the next month I dropped the monster entirely, cut the cheese out entirely, ate nothing but chicken meat wise, still ate the greek yogurt, fruit salad and such. lost another 10 pounds.

I was spending about 400 a month on food alone. plus propane because all the meat I ate was grilled. I went broke fast lol

Yeah, diets are high and was working a low paying job at the time. I basically just healthier things, I would bake chicken, center cut pork chop, etc. Portioned everything. Fruit, salad, vegetables, low fat- no sugar added yogurt, and water. Beans and all that, anything that stays away from processed carbs. I ate maple and brown sugar oatmeal for breakfast everyday.
Mainly, exercise. I had a rowing machine. I could only afford a cheaper one and it had broke. When I ready again, I will buy a more expensive, sturdy model. Rowing is the second best full body exercise next to swimming i believe.
I just bought a little toaster oven and baked my meat whenever I was about ready to eat it. I think I had an indoor grill too.

yeah I didn't exercise and lost 40 pounds in 3 months lol with me its more motivation to goto the gym. I enjoy going to the gym but I have to make time for it and im not good at that. not to mention my body likes to give out when I push it now a days.

I don't do the gym, I bought my own machine. And will buy another rower again.

What was your job in the army? You shouldn't be falling apart at such a young age.
