yeah especially for a single mom on disability.

this is about what im looking to get her. she doesn't care v6 or v8 but its gotta be auto. she physically cant drive a stick.

I used to buy and sell cars as a hobby and im pretty good at it. I could probably talk this guy down to around 1800-2000. then put another grand into the paint, give it a tune up, full break job, full fluid flush, replace head gaskets and water pump. total have about 3700 into it and it will last her probably the rest of her life so long as she maintains it.

Looks like he kept the interior pretty well. I don't know how to drive standard either, but I never tried.

she knows how, but her knees are shot so she cant do it a lot. she drives my truck from time to time but its hard on her.

and with me and my brother both working here, and him living with me, we can easily afford to do all of that. it will just come down to time between the time I get full time and april.

yeah, something like that. she had her first knee surgery at 11 and her first knee replacement in her 30's

lol are you at least learning? if so by time you do get a tank you should be good.

im going to be setting up another freshwater planted tank at some point. I miss my old 75. not sure ill dedicate a big tank to freshwater but im going to set up another one.

Lol, I think I have a few things. And I had freshwater aquariums for a long time. So I know are aquariums are about. Lol
I probably a discus/blackwater tank as well as a reef tank. Whenever everything finally falls into place.

although ive learned a lot since I got rid of that tank and ill be putting my saltwater knowledge into a freshwater tank. using proper overflows for instance. that 75 had a 29 gallon sump but I used pvc overflows and never could get them to run consistently or quiet. next one will be drilled with a herbie or bean animal. ill also be using better lights, better wavemaker, co2 and a dosing pump to push ferts.

I had planted tanks. I like the spiral trumpet snails that hitchhike on the plants. People misunderstand them, they are good, they aren't pest. They don't eat plants, they eat algae and poop,and they aerate the gravel. I had some apple snails once, I made the mistake of buying two instead of just getting one. Boy they will lay egg clutches all over the rim of your tank. Got rid of them.

I just use a hang on filter or a canister filter for freshwater, a good light for the plants, a powerhead for water movement, and a planted tank gravel like seachem flourish. I used fertilizer and blackwater extract.

Idk if the trumpet snails can stir up dirt or not, lol. I use the flourish black gravel and sand.

I love wisteria, such nice plants. I had tubifex worms hitchhike on some one. Fish loved it.

I used organic top soil that I soaked for a month prior to putting it in the tank, then capped it with black diamond sand and pea gravel. filled with water, tossed in plants and it took about 2 months to stabilize from the cycle but from then on it was flawless.

I remember somebody on here tried to say freshwater tanks only take a day to cycle. I told them nope, it'll takes at least two weeks.

I used base dry rock as a place for bacteria in the sump. had about 30 pounds of rubble directly in the flow of water in the sump so that bacteria could grow as needed. theres not much space for bacteria to grow in the basic planted tank with no drift wood or anything. had about 700 gph of flow through the sump, maybe closer to 500 after head pressure, and a rw8 set on half way on wave. the sump recirculated the water in the sump at 400 gph from the return section back to the first chamber before the filter floss. my water was almost invisible.

I see your amazon sword plant in there. I always had problems with them, and everyone says how easy they are. The leaves would die off one by one.
