So today I set up a GFO Reactor and attempted to rinse the gfo prior to putting the reactor online. I run the reactor in RO water until it runs clear and then turn the pump off, thats when I have GFO backwash up the inlet tube, causing the tube to become clogged with GFO. Any tips would be appreciated. I am running the reef octopus beginner, if that helps.

TIA,
Mike

You need a sponge on both sides of your media........ or put the media in a media bag or old nylon filter sock and rubberband it closed
