So I have a BRS single reactor and I need to run some gfo since I was slacking on things all summer and it all finally caught up with me.
Anyway when putting in the gfo do you put a sponge at the bottom and the very top or just at the top ? Can't really find any info on that.
I know you want a nice but not crazy tumble.
Then also I was going to have the water come out into a filter sock is that a good idea or not needed.
Thanks

One on top, one on bottom. Good idea on the filter sock. Will catch any GFO fines.

Maybe mix with gac if you also run that to prevent gfo clumping.

Yep figured it out after I posted lol.
Ya I think I will do that. I run rox in it now so I guess tomorrow or this weekend I'll set it up.
Thanks guys !

Finally got the nitrates down to 10 from like over 160 now work on the po4 get that to good levels just in time for summer again hahaha
