I have a biocube 29 gallon that has been up and running over 2 years now. I got into some gha about a year ago, but my lfs just thought I needed to bump up my cuc and after doing so I was good. I’m back into it again though, and it’s awful. My tank parameters all read out as normal, but I have to assume my phos is high and just being taken up by the gha. I’m also having trouble keeping snails alive, so I’m assuming nitrates are high too? I’m going to try twice weekly water changes for a couple weeks, any other suggestions? I have an intank media basket in the middle chamber with poly filter, purigen and chemipure. Should I try a protein skimmer? I’ve read such mixed reviews on them in a biocube. Thanks!
