I need recommendations to get this hair algae out of here. It has been in here since I started the tank about 4 years ago. It’s driving me crazy. Water test always comes out good, I perform water changes once a week.

Do you have an Algae Scrubber? I battled this in my tank for over 1 year, the scrubber solved the issue in about 2 months. Go the algae in a different place.

What kind of water are you using; tap or RODI?

Also, your actual test results would be helpful.

What kind of food do you feed; flakes? Frozen?

Both flakes and pellets in an automatic fish feeder. We use tap but we have a huge filter system 4 cartridge system that it flows through before going into the tank.

Unless you’re using a DI cartridge then Tap Water is a part of the problem.

Ok, that’s good for water purification. Do you measure the TDS (should be zero.)
What is TDS and what is DI Carridge? New to this stuff and it gets overwhelming sometimes Have had a maintenance guy come in twice a month but i’m taking care of it on my own now.

What a beautiful aquarium, honestly amazingly beautiful :)

From photos it appears you have alot of light/natural light from windows indirect/direct light which will contribute to the growth of GHA. Your aquarium lights may be contributing aswell

From your photos the GHA is too long for any clean up crew to manage (they will not eat it)

I would certainly avoid any additional chemicals to combat this (in my opinion)

In my opinion.. it will require hands in removing, it's a very large aquarium, the tooth brush is a great tool (on small aquariums)

For this size aquarium I would use a 'bottle scrubber' but I would only use in sections (to remove the longest GHA)

Then gradually work across all.
One section at a time every week

TDS Total Dissolved Solids. Used to measure the water quality after it has pssed through the filter.

DI (De Ionization) The filter you have uses RO (Reverse Osmosis) to remove most of the dissolved solids and then the water passes thru a bed of resin to remove the remaining ions, (RODI)

The TDS meter is also used to let you know when it is time to replace the resin.
