Hello,
So have this algae growing. It began a while ago and I made another post about this clear slime forming on my rocks.
Well , months later it’s this hairy mess.
When I scrub it off, there is still a reliance of it left on the rocks. I was worried it was lynbya. However, I don’t think it is as there are “roots”? The remanence
I see I’m assuming are the “roots” off GHA?
It comes off super easy, but keeps coming back. Looks like the new urchin I bought is eating it and the turbo snail.
It’s a brown green colour. Does anyone know what this is?
Nitrates are 5ppm phosphates are 0.01ppm for the macro and have been dosing iron, iodide and chaeto grow.
Thought it was hairy cyano because I see red cyano now. However, like I said it comes off easy but there is remanence of it after scrubbing.
Decided to try chemiclean for the red cyano and let’s see if this helps?
Hope anyone can identify this and tell me yes it’s GHA or no it’s not…..
