I’ve added my Kessil lights to the GHL app via the GHL breakout box. In order to add the light controls, I’ve added the illumination section to the display. The problem is that everytime that I log out of the app and back in the illumination section disappears. What am I doing wrong or not doing correctly?

The problem is that everytime that I log out of the app and back in the illumination section disappears. What am I doing wrong or not doing correctly?
In my web browser - this happens every time I take away my cookies automatically when I close the webpage. Have solve this by allow myGHL to handle cookies automatically. I suppose you talking about a phone app - do you have similar configuration - cleaning of cookies when an app close?

I don’t have the iPhone set to clear the cache or cookies. I did a search for this issue on the GHL Facebook group and a few people have mentioned that this issue exists with iPhone users as other users have experienced the same issue. I’m fairly disappointed because I originally purchased the Apex and held onto that unit unopened for a few months before I sent it back to exchange it for the GHL due to numerous issues people have with the Apex.
For the price of the unit, you would think that minor issues like this would of been or would be addressed quickly by tech support. Now I’m second guessing my decision switching to GHL. It’s these small things that make a huge difference in customer satisfaction.

I have run an android since the start of the app - never have had this issue. As I understand - not all iphone users have this problem either - you say by yourself - a few people have mentioned it. But make a ticket to their support - if it is a common problem - they certainly want to hear about and find the fault.

It's my understanding that it's not so much the app as it's Apple's new way of securing data and privacy within apps.
I am enrolled in Apple's beta program, and I was running the latest iOS 14 and having issues with the app remembering certain settings. I upgraded to beta iOS 15, and the problem is gone. So maybe Apple has changed a few privacy setting that will be in iOS 15 when they release it.
